FAQ — Only Drink What You Brew

Question 1

What does 'Only Drink What You Brew' actually mean?

Accepted Answer

It means exactly what it says. Participants commit to drinking only what they have brewed themselves — for a defined period, on their own terms. The goal is not abstinence. It is intentionality. When you only drink what you make, you make better things, drink less of them, and appreciate every drop far more.

Question 2

Is this a sobriety or temperance movement?

Accepted Answer

No. The Only Drink What You Brew philosophy is about craft and attention, not abstinence. Many participants find they naturally drink less as a result of the practice — not because they are trying to, but because they are more selective about what they consume. That is a side effect of intentionality, not the goal.

Question 3

Do I have to drink my homebrew to participate?

Accepted Answer

No. The challenge and the curriculum are about the process of making — not the act of drinking. Some participants choose not to drink at all. Others taste their finished product carefully and deliberately. Both approaches are valid.

Question 4

What kinds of beverages can I brew?

Accepted Answer

Any fermented beverage you make yourself: beer, cider, mead, wine, kombucha, kefir, or any other fermented drink. The philosophy applies equally to all of them.

Question 5

What is included in the e-book?

Accepted Answer

The book is the foundational text of the Only Drink What You Brew philosophy. It covers the philosophy in depth, the principles of intentional brewing, fermentation fundamentals, and how to design a personal brewing practice. It is a PDF download, delivered immediately after purchase.

Question 6

What is included in the Brewer's Workbook?

Accepted Answer

The workbook is the hands-on companion to the book. It includes all nine core worksheets: recipe design, brew day log, fermentation tracker, tasting notes, batch reflection, and more. It is a printable PDF — designed to be printed and used at the bench.

Question 7

What is the difference between the Creator Bundle and the Complete Only Brew Method?

Accepted Answer

The Creator Bundle ($35) includes the book and the workbook. The Complete Only Brew Method ($59) adds the eight-week written curriculum — a structured, week-by-week guide that walks you through the method in sequence. If you want the full system, the Complete Method is the right choice.

Question 8

How do I access my downloads after purchase?

Accepted Answer

Immediately after your order is confirmed, you will see download buttons on the order confirmation page. Each link is single-use and valid for 48 hours. Download your files and save them to your device. If you have any trouble, contact us and we will sort it out.

Question 9

Is the free challenge really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Seven-Day Creator Challenge PDF is completely free — no purchase required, no credit card, no catch. Enter your email on the challenge page and the PDF will be sent to you immediately.

Question 10

Do I need any experience to start?

Accepted Answer

No. The Seven-Day Creator Challenge and the book are both designed for brewers at any level — including complete beginners. The method is about building good habits from the start, not correcting bad ones.

Question 11

What equipment do I need to get started?

Accepted Answer

A basic homebrewing setup — a brew kettle, a fermenter, an airlock, and a way to sanitize your equipment — is enough to start. See our Equipment page for specific recommendations.

Question 12

How long does it take to brew a batch?

Accepted Answer

Brew day for a standard beer is typically 4–6 hours. Fermentation takes 1–4 weeks depending on the style. Cider, mead, and wine can take longer. The curriculum and workbook will help you plan your timeline.
